Welcome to Whitehedge Farm At Valhalla Equestrian
Whitehedge Farm at Valhalla Equestrian
We are thrilled to announce that effective January 2017, I along with my new partner Kathy Brooks, will be the new owners of formally Valhalla Stables in Aubrey, Texas, newly minted now as Valhalla Equestrian, LLC. Valhalla has been developed into a fixture in the local hunter jumper community for the last 15 years by Rachel Morris. The facility has been the home site for clinics with George Morris, Anne Kursinski and Bernie Trauig. We are proud to have the opportunity to continue the important work she has done to bring a safe and functional show and clinic facility to the North Texas community. Valhalla will also continue to be home to the therapeutic riding center, Born To Be, and we also have honor of hosting the Regional Special Equestrian Olympics in March.
Amenities of the 30 acre farm include a huge 250' x 150' Indoor area with new footing and screens. A 200 x 250 outdoor area, 2 full jump courses, 2 warmup arenas, 2 barns with 30 total stalls for boarders and training horses with 12x12 stalls with fly spray systems, tack rooms and indoor/outdoor wash racks. Multiple paddocks and pastures with a beautiful grove of Pecan trees border the east side of the property. 72 additional stalls available for horse show and clinic use. There are public restrooms, a concession stand and a new gravel parking area. Improvement plans for early 2017 include additional paddock space, a 70' round pen with sand footing, and continued footing improvements in all arenas.
Anne and Kathy's goal for the facility are to continue to build Valhalla into a premier equestrian facility for North Texas. We believe strongly in a classical horsemanship and equitation education for our riders and a correct and solid foundation for the development of young horses. We will be expanding our clinic and education outreach in order to meet the needs of the local horse community. We will continue with the current popular show schedule of 15-20 shows a year for both USEF rated shows, NTHJC, DHJSC and Fairfield Dressage. We will also host multiple breed association inspections, and look to develop a much needed regional young horse training center.
Anne will continue with the over 20 years of success she has had with Whitehedge Farm in the sales, development and breeding of top quality hunters and jumpers. The nationally sought after Elite Hanoverian stallion Cabalito will continue standing at stud. Anne will also now have the ability to expand her sales and training program that outgrew her former facility. With current training and sales clients hailing from Dallas, New York, San Francisco, Colorado, and Denmark, we are excited to be able to offer a larger facility in order to continue to offer exceptional care, training and sales for top show and sport horses.
Anne, along with her two children, Macy (12) and Devon (13) will be relocating to the farm in early January. Macy has competed successfully at USEF and NTHJC shows and was the 2016 winner of the NTHJC 3' Equitation Medal finals. Devon enjoys soccer, Crossfit and helping out on the farm with tractor work and mowing. We are excited to continue our family tradition of working together, and thrilled to be able to expand it more into the community. Anne will be the manager and head trainer for Valhalla Equestrian moving forward.
Kathy Brooks is joining the Valhalla Equestrian team as part owner and business manager.
